At Life’s Carousel I write about stuff I love and I think you’ll love too. Some of our posts might include affiliate links. These are completely free to you and help support the running of this site.
Life can be hectic and finding balance between work, children and home can sometimes feel impossible. I believe that life is like a fairground ride. Some people are riding a roller coaster with extreme highs and extreme lows, but all that motion can leave you sick and dizzy. Other people are on a slow boat ride, still enjoying themselves but not appearing to get anywhere very fast.
I strive to live my life like a carousel. Finding the balance between the highs and the lows, while enjoying the beauty all around me.
Finding the way to a balanced life is not always easy though.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Sasha, mom to 3 children. I work (more than) full time as a Math teacher at a drop-out prevention high school. I have a wonderfully supportive partner, who has stepped up to the role of “Step-Dad” very well!
This website has become my passion that fills the majority of my free time (free time? What’s that?!). When not being mom, blogger or teacher, I love spending time with my pets.
I have 3 dogs and 4 cats. Animals have always been an important part of my life. At one time I had a small farm (a homestead) with 35+ animals and pets – each with their own name and personality! I’ve owned cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, parrots, chickens, cows, donkeys, ducks, pigs…. the list goes on!
I’ve had quite a diverse life. I was born and raised in England, about one hour outside of London. I moved to the USA (Florida) with my husband (now ex-husband!) when I was 22 years old. I’ve run my own businesses, been a stay-at-home mom (with a farm!), a single working mom on a very tight budget and now I’m a teacher. I’ve learned a lot over the years and know I will keep learning throughout my whole life.
Sometimes it feels like the world is moving too fast and I will never catch up. Other times it feels like things are moving too slowly and never likely to change.
The purpose of this blog is to chart the progress from a hectic to a balanced life.
